LATEST DOCUMENTED UPDATE

UPDATE 326Pet Feedback & Combat Flow
  • Pet combat text. Improved pet damage, healing, absorption and dodge feedback. Damage and healing appear on separate sides of the affected pet; periodic recovery is grouped into readable totals.
  • Smoother combat. Shorter blends for fast attacks and small visual hit reactions help contacts read clearly without interrupting committed pet attacks or moving collision bodies.
  • Performance. Reduces unnecessary particle, impact-light and combat-text work during busy fights. Results still depend on your hardware and the encounter.
  • Interface cleanup. Removed the expedition return-gate reminder while keeping the nearby interaction prompt.
  • Progression preserved. Skill levels, skill caps and skill XP are unchanged. Damage formulas, attack cooldowns, proc rates, loot and rewards are also unchanged.
Earlier updates 318–325

Entries describe changes at that update. Later patches may revise earlier systems and balance.

UPDATE 325World Details, Combat Feedback & Item Clarity
  • World scenery. Replaced isolated wilderness walls with wells, shrines and small camps, and removed misplaced tables and furnishings.
  • Spell feedback. Improved spell and gem visuals at the acting player or pet. Added more active-effect icons, countdowns and pet status markers.
  • Pet damage. Added separate pet hit and damage-over-time text showing actual health lost after defenses. Update 326 expands this feedback.
  • Bags and gems. Stabilized the bag inspector size, shortened repetitive item descriptions and added owned-gem portraits with effects and slot controls to the character panel.
UPDATE 324Gems, Managers, Reforging & Combat
  • Gem interface. Repaired corrupted spell portraits, aligned recipe cards and made scrolling easier to discover. Selecting or crafting a gem preserves the list position.
  • Worker management. Added an H-menu overview with all eight manager portraits, status and storage bars. Select a manager to open that operation’s controls.
  • Reforging. Implemented the approved stat caps, including 50 each for Strength, Agility, Intellect and Wisdom. Paid attempts improve the selected stat until its cap; costs rise 15% per successful item attempt. Existing over-cap values are preserved.
  • Commander potions. Warlock and Beastmaster health potions heal living pets instead of the player, with a 20-second cooldown. Mana potions still restore player mana.
  • Combat effects. Reduced repeated spell bursts and light flashes on basic melee hits while retaining directional slashes and impact sparks.
UPDATE 323Combat Animation & Effects
  • Player attacks. Expanded sword, dagger, heavy-weapon and unarmed attack sequences, with dedicated bow shots and varied staff and wand casts.
  • Monsters and pets. Expanded attack animation routing across seven creature rigs and the summoned creatures that use them.
  • Contact effects. Added directional slash, claw and thrust effects plus short weapon and hand trails within existing effect budgets.
  • World activity. Mining, chopping and harvesting use activity animations and tools. Village fishers use cast, wait and reel animations.
UPDATE 322Gem Interface & Minion Compatibility
  • Gem catalog. Revised the catalog to 195 gems across four trigger types. Removed summon, pet-command and minion-only gem recipes; manual class skills remain available.
  • Healing when hit. Restored Lifebloom and moved several healing spells into the When Hit category.
  • Shared companion builds. Ordinary equipped gems respond to eligible player and minion events. Players and pets share the same three equipped gems and each gem’s cooldown; effects retain the correct recipient.
  • Existing collections. Removed gems convert into replacement credits at Ruby. Compatible equipped gems retain their slots, and migration does not award credits twice.
  • Interface. Bounded recipe icons, wrapped names and preserved scroll position when selecting a recipe.
UPDATE 321Spell Gems & Character Slots
  • Character slots. Introduced three dedicated character gem slots, replacing equipment gem sockets. Players may mix trigger types but cannot equip the same gem twice.
  • Gem crafting. Introduced spell-specific recipes at Ruby, organized by On Melee Hit, On Ranged/Spell Hit, When Hit and On Heal Cast.
  • Existing gems. Moved existing gear gems into the character collection or replacement credits while preserving item investment.
  • Historical note. This update’s initial catalog and companion rules were revised in Update 322. Read newer entries for the subsequent changes.
UPDATE 320Ascension, Equipment & Worker Upkeep
  • Ascension rewards. Extended gathering-rarity improvements above Ascension 20. Eligible epic Tier 20 drops gain a 1% enchant chance per rank above 20, capped at 100%.
  • Dropped enchantments. Successful drops receive one random level 1–10 enchant in a normal enchanting slot. It can be upgraded normally; crafted and saved gear do not receive retroactive rolls.
  • Rune and equipment. Updated the Ascension Rune artwork and reward comparisons. Fixed equipment artwork identity and separated armor appearance from item tier.
  • Armoury. Added Purple, Blue and Green bag sorting and bulk deposits by rarity while protecting equipped and reserved gear.
  • Worker upkeep. Gem Cutters, Treasure Seekers and Ember Miners require wages, food and drink. Production pauses when supplies run out or storage fills.
UPDATE 319Workers, Bags & World Polish
  • Workers. Added specialty-manager portraits and storage fill bars. Gem Cutters now produce random uncut gems with equal chances across types.
  • Bags and vendors. Fixed narrow consumable controls, removed the obsolete Recipes tab, restored Khord’s dedicated Golden Scroll exchange and put Cloth Mill products on one page.
  • Reforging. Restored the gear icon grid and removed Ember Core additions. Gold-only attempts retain guaranteed improvement and rising costs; previously paid bonuses remain.
  • World. Replaced repetitive wilderness clutter and randomized monster facing on spawn and respawn. Later scenery changes continue in Update 325.
UPDATE 318Reforging, Workers & Soul Lantern
  • Reforging. Introduced guaranteed improvement on paid reforges and a 15% fee increase per successful item attempt. Later updates removed Core additions and revised stat limits.
  • Ship repair. Added the Kulow Dockmaster’s account-wide repair quest: 10,000 Timber, 2,000 Elderwood Planks, 3,000 Ironwood Planks and 3,000 Iron Bars. Travel destinations were not enabled.
  • Specialty workers. Introduced the Gem Cutter, Treasure Seeker and Ember Miner. Gem selection and worker upkeep were revised in Updates 319 and 320.
  • Gathering alchemy. Added two stack-compatible 10-minute buffs: +20% material yield and +20% gathering speed.
  • Soul Lantern. Reworked the Warlock set around pet damage, armor and an eight-second enrage with a 30-second cooldown. Warlock pet models became 20% larger.
  • Reputation. Set standard faction-region normal kills to 50 base reputation and rare kills to 100; standard open-world boss rewards grant 500 to one random faction.

SPELL GEMS / YOUR BUILD, YOUR CHOICES

Three slots.
New ways to fight.

195 gems in the current playtest.
Damage, healing and defensive effects
that respond to what happens in combat.

Build around the way you play.

Craft spell gems at the gem-cutting vendor and equip up to three in your character panel. Each gem adds a spell or effect that has a chance to activate on its combat trigger—often called a proc.

  • Three character slots. Your gems stay with your character when you change equipment.
  • Three different gems. You can share a trigger type across all three slots, but cannot equip the same gem twice.
  • Companions join the build. Equipped gems also work with your minions through eligible combat triggers.

Commander spells are excluded from the gem catalog. Each gem has its own proc chance and cooldown.

01 / ON MELEE HIT

Make contact count.

Trigger a gem effect when a melee attack connects. Build around the close-range attacks you already use.

02 / ON RANGED OR SPELL HIT

Follow through at range.

A successful ranged or spell hit can activate another effect, adding to your attack.

03 / WHEN HIT

Answer the pressure.

Taking a hit can trigger healing, protection or retaliation. Healing options include Lifebloom.

04 / ON HEAL CAST

Build on your healing.

A qualifying heal cast can activate your equipped gem’s effect. Healing becomes part of your proc build.

One build, many approaches. Combine offense with a when-hit heal, or dedicate all three slots to different gems that share your main attack’s trigger.

THE ASCENSION RUNE / ENDGAME PROGRESSION

Prepare at twenty.
Push beyond it.

Raise the world’s challenge.
Give every upgrade a reason.

Ascension 20 is where you prepare.

Choose or craft the gear you want to build around. Find the right stats, enchant and reforge your equipment, and choose your three spell gems. Equipment drops cap at Tier 20; the gear you invest in can keep growing as you push into higher Ascension ranks.

Stronger enemies

Monster health and damage increase. Higher ranks ask more of your equipment, defenses and build.

More gold

Monster kills, chests and statues award more gold as Ascension rises, helping fund your next investment.

More from gathering

Material yield increases with each Ascension rank. Rare nodes become more likely, while lower-grade nodes become less common.

Better loot opportunities

Higher ranks increase the chance of recipe scrolls and equipment drops, including epic Tier 20 gear.

A HEAD START ON YOUR NEXT ITEM

Epic drops can arrive enchanted.

Above Ascension 20, each additional rank adds one percentage point to the chance that an eligible epic Tier 20 drop receives a random enchant. Its starting level rolls from 1 to 10.

This enchant occupies a normal enchanting slot and remains upgradeable. It gives dropped gear a head start while preserving the value of gear you have crafted and invested in.
